The 1816 United Kingdom sixpence reverse shows the UK coat of arms with the royal crown above, and a surrounding legend in a garter. The top left and bottom right shields show three lions representing England, the top right one lion representing Scotland, and the bottom left a harp representing Ireland. In the center is a crowned shield with the Hanoverian arms.

The obverse features the laureate head of King George III facing right, with the legend: 'GEOR:III D:G:' to the left, 'BRITT:REX F:D:' to the right, and the date below.
