The 1887 'jubilee head' UK shilling reverse shows the UK coat of arms with the royal crown above, surrounded by a garter with the Anglo-Norman motto of the British chivalric Order of the Garter, 'HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE', and date below. Shield quadrants show three lions representing England, one lion representing Scotland, and a harp representing Ireland.
The obverse features the robed jubilee bust of the mature Queen Victoria facing left, adorned in jewellery and a small crown. The legend reads: 'VICTORIA DEI GRATIA BRITT:REGINA F:D:'
